Partner at ZMW Legal and head of the Funds & State Aid practice. For more than 20 years he has supported businesses in obtaining public funding and in disputes over its settlement – from project audits to the Supreme Administrative Court.

Piotr heads the Funds & State Aid practice and, within Dispute Resolution, handles cases involving public funds. He supports companies at every stage of a project: the funding application, audits, and the moment an institution demands repayment of a grant.
With his involvement, the firm’s clients have obtained more than PLN 4 billion in grants and tax reliefs. The total value of funds at stake in the disputes he has conducted exceeds PLN 1 billion. He co-created the LEGAL-TECH-FIN HYBRID model, nominated for the FT Innovative Lawyers awards.
In grant disputes a business is often fighting for its survival – which is why Piotr begins every case by understanding the project from the inside, and only then turns to the regulations.
