Karolina Rychlewska, Partner and head of the Life Sciences practice at ZMW Legal, has received the Business Centre Club award for outstanding lawyers. She accepted the award at a gala in Warsaw.
The jury highlighted a rare combination of two specialisations: corporate law and the regulation of the pharmaceutical sector. For more than 15 years Karolina has supported pharma and food companies in shareholder disputes, disputes over product registration rights and proceedings before the President of the Office for Registration of Medicinal Products and the Chief Sanitary Inspector.
Why she received the award
In its statement, the jury pointed to three areas:
- corporate disputes in Life Sciences companies – including a multi-year shareholder dispute at a dietary supplement manufacturer that ended in a settlement allowing the company to stay on the market,
- commentary and publications – on changes to pharmaceutical law and regular talks at industry conferences,
- support for young lawyers – the mentoring programme she has run at ZMW Legal since 2021.
